 Dean began his own journey of personal growth early in his career after a valued mentor introduced him  to the idea that success can be cultivated through an intentional focus on a set of universal leadership  principles. That understanding led Dean to develop a multifaceted approach to learning that continues  to enhance both his personal and professional life.  

Although Dean has a diverse and accomplished career in the defense industry, his drive for innovation has led to many endeavors that have complemented his rewarding profession. Dean’s entrepreneurial  spirit was evident as early as middle school when he was recognized as a “Future Entrepreneur” and  chosen for a specialized program designed to inspire future business leaders. He went on to create his  first company when he was in high school and as an undergraduate student at the University of North  Alabama in 1990, he founded a computer engineering company designed to serve the burgeoning PC  industry. After receiving an MBA from Auburn University at Montgomery, Dean expanded his business  acumen by founding a Non-Profit organization whose mission was to foster personal growth through the  leadership and discipline principles of the martial arts. 

Now, Dean had combined his thirty years of successful, results oriented, management in the private sector with his decades of marital arts study into a dynamic approach to leadership, mentoring and  personal growth. His mission with Habitstance is to provide individuals with an effective framework and personalized action plans to navigate their careers, achieve success and become who they want to be.
